Love this place. I have been for lunch and dinner and been impressed both times. Love the tortillas and butter to start. Elote is so tasty! Potato taco, carne asada taco, fish taco were all good. Quesadilla was awesome with the crema and beans!

This is a real gem. If you want some good authentic Mexican cuisine here you go. Drinks were spot on. I got the "don't sleep on it" and please don't. Wifey got the vegetarian tacos, a mushroom taco and the potato taco. The carne asada was great. I highly recommend stopping here.

Wow! This was an incredible meal! If you’re in Phoenix and you love tacos, come to Huarachis Taqueria. The flavors were absolutely fantastic! We ordered the Carnitas Platter and additional tacos. We all loved the various flavors of the meats in the tacos. The platter included beans, potatoes , elote, roasted onions, homemade flour tortillas, fresh salsa, sliced limes, homemade tortilla chips, & the most delicious carnitas we have ever eaten! The restaurant has a beautiful style, and a cool vibe here. The service is excellent. It was a bit loud, and hard to hear the people at our table. We look forward to returning to Huarachis Taqueria soon! 5 stars!

I stopped by Huarachis in Downtown PHX and instantly fell in love with the place. The pink building makes it super easy to spot and gives off such a fun, welcoming vibe. The food tastes so authentic — you can tell everything’s made fresh and with love. I had a torta that was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced with fresh veggies and tender meat, and it hit the spot. The sides were just as good — especially the salsa and warm tortillas. It felt like a real neighborhood gem where the food and atmosphere both stand out. Highly recommend if you’re looking for legit, flavorful Mexican food and a cool, laid-back vibe in the city!

We went for an early dinner on Saturday. The place was pretty full by the time we left, so reservations are recommended. The place has a very lively casual vibe. The service was very good. They were able to accommodate my wife’s allergies with no questions and a good attitude. It was also nice not having to order everything all at one. Food was great. We had high expectations given the place’s association with Bacanora. We were totally impressed. Highly recommended.

JESSE’S MARGARITA at HUARACHIS!! My sister and l came from California to Phoenix due to a liver transplantation performed on me the 5th of January, today she asked me bring her to Phoenix (we are staying in Scottsdale), she wanted Mexican food (not very fond of it) l mentioned that there are Mexican restaurants in Scottsdale, but she insisted to go to Phoenix and gave me no option, she said: “Alli quiero ir yo”, so we drove there, we parked in the rear, she went in first, then l followed, as l entered the restaurant l saw my grandnephew Jesse, and l told him, aren’t you my grand...nephew, he said: yes, and indicated to enter on the right entrance. I quickly went to seat next to my sister, and realized the great surprise, we came there so she could see her grandson, Jackie stepped in to assist us, took our order and acknowledged to my sister that Jesse had told her that my sister was his grandma; we ordered, my sister wanted a brandy, none there, then realized there was a drink named after her grandson, l will have a Jesse’s Margarita, once she tasted it, she exclaimed: This is not 100% good, is 200% she loved it. All the food was great, delicious, succulent, Sonoran style, l had “elote”, exquisite, the lengua tacos were the best l have ever tasted, the lemonade was tangy, also the best l’ve ever drank; my sister had a “Lala” Huarachi which she enjoyed and papas al disco, l almost ate all of them, they were tasty, soft, condiments and flavors to appeal our taste, Francesca came by to assist us as well, great service, very appealing atmosphere, even though it was Tuesday that place was always busy. My sister plans to go again, l shall be obliged to bring her enjoy another happiest meal in the presence of her grandson who we were overjoyed to see once again. Two bad Google has only 5 stars, l would give it 10, unbiased. Omar De La Paz Guzman Cruz, 2/11/2025

During a recent visit to Phoenix, we had the pleasure of dining at Huarachis Taqueria, located at 814 N Central Ave. This establishment is the brainchild of Chef Rene Andrade, renowned for his work at Bacanora, which has received accolades from The New York Times and Esquire. The ambiance at Huarachis Taqueria is both playful and authentic, featuring vibrant decor with pink hues, an array of houseplants, and eclectic touches like religious iconography and automotive accents. This creates a quirky yet comfortable setting that feels like a lively backyard gathering. Our meal began with the quesadilla accompanied by a special bean dip, which was a standout. The quesadilla was thin and crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the rich, flavorful bean dip. The combination was so impressive that it left a lasting impression on our taste buds. The menu at Huarachis Taqueria is concise yet diverse, offering a range of traditional Mexican dishes with a contemporary twist. In addition to the exceptional quesadilla, we sampled the shrimp ceviche, which was bright and spicy, prompting us to savor every drop of the broth. The tacos, served on grill-blackened flour tortillas and topped with cabbage, white onion, and cilantro, were equally impressive. The charred chicharron and tender lengua tacos were particularly noteworthy, bursting with robust flavors. For those seeking a more substantial meal, the pollo asado platter is a generous offering that includes a whole grilled chicken, esquites (creamy, chile-spiked corn), crispy potato disks, frijol dip, tostadas, tortillas, and roasted onions and jalapenos. This feast is designed to serve two to three people and is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to hearty, communal dining experiences. Complementing the food is an array of agave-based cocktails, creatively mixed with variously flavored Jarritos sodas. The spicy El Valle and the tiki-tinged End of Summer were both refreshing and well-balanced, enhancing the overall dining experience.
